Whitman Brook is for curious apple pickers, cooks seeking new flavors, and those who appreciate the natural beauty of Vermont in the fall. This is a place to slow down and discover a traditional hillside orchard with over 140 varieties of apples that have stood the test of time and taste.

 

Each trunk tells its own story of a promising beginning, years of neglect and improbable rescue. Walking amongst the old trees, one can be transported to another place in time.

 

The original 1920's block was augmented in 1998 and the orchard now grows over 100 varieties of apples. Our fruit is available at a small number of market stands and specialty retailers or can be picked every weekend from early September to November. Later storage varieties will keep well into the new year.
